I recently got to shoot Baby Brynn’s newborn photos in our south jersey studio.
Another dream baby. Brynn was so relaxed and comfy during her shoot. I love sleepy babies but I have a gift for getting any baby into a sweet slumber. But when the arrive awake, I can get beautiful wide-eyed newborn photos like this:
Awake photos are some of my favorites. But once they’re lulled to sleep, it’s time for some more creative posing.
I love to incorporate parents into their newborn photos. These are always favorites as the baby grows.
Children love to see just how tiny they once were in their parents’ hands.
Since Brynn was born close to the holidays, I wanted to give them an understated holiday photo.
And of course one of my favorites is always babies on white. I love the purity of it. Stretch cotton for boys and lace and pearls for girls.
Not all newborn photographers are alike. Newborn photography takes a lot of skill and patience. It’s IMPERATIVE that your photographer stay calm and never get frustrated as baby can pick up on this energy and it can make baby uneasy and unsettled during their newborn photos.
