I’m always excited when a client reaches out about a maternity photoshoot. But when someone travels from far away, I’m just flat out honored. This beautiful mother-to-be came all the way from Delaware to see me. I wanted to make sure her maternity photoshoot was everything she was hoping for.
We discussed at length the style she liked and what would look best on her. We decided to keep the backdrops white and gray. I had recently purchased a beautiful fabric that I was thrilled to get to use for her session.
We went for elegant and contemporary for this maternity shoot. I love how the use of different lighting gives different looks to her images.
In case you haven’t noticed the pattern yet, we didn’t use any dresses for this session. It was strictly fabrics and one body suit. I love working with clients to customize their photos. Although every photographer has their own style, I think it’s important for clients to have input as well. It makes it for a more personal experience and the images are more personal as well.
I really enjoy wrapping fabrics to make them look like a custom fit dress. The effects we can get with the right fabric are really beautiful.
I can’t wait to meet her baby boy and create gorgeous newborn photos to go with her maternity photos.
